  • Phenomenal trip! Cannot say enough great things about my trip and Marrakesh Weekend. I am a single female traveler who has always wanted to travel to Morocco so I choose to do so this year for my birthday. I did research and choose Marrakesh Weekend based on reviews and it turned out to be an excellent choice.I did not have much time in Morocco while having a lot of things I wanted to accomplish. Communication to set up my trip was smooth, friendly, quick, professional, and thorough while providing great suggestions I hadn’t considered. Our travels together were a lot of fun, I was completely safe and comfortable, and they went above and beyond making my time in Morocco truly amazing. For instance Moha got me a birthday cake while we were in the middle of the dessert.Cannot say enough good things about my trip – and I will not take up pages to detail everything they did for me –it certainly felt like I was traveling with a friend, not that I was a only paying customer. I will unquestionably be going back and will definitely travel with Marrakesh Weekend again.Morocco is an amazing place to visit and I highly recommend Marrakesh Weekend to share their love and knowledge of their country.

  • When it comes to spending my money, I'm a perfectionist. So I did thorough research online to find a tour company that would take me and my wife around Morocco for our honeymoon and I also made sure to check that the positive reviews were legitimate. That's how I came across Marrakech Weekend.Mustapha of MW was very quick with his responses to my e-mails and whatsapp messages. It must have been hard to keep track of my communication because my communication was very spread out in time as I was very busy with simultaneously planning a wedding and finding and moving into a new home with my wife. Even after paying my downpayment, Mustapha was very kind to answer all of my questions in a timely manner. Our flight was delayed and it took a long time to get through immigrations, but Hamid, our guide, waited patiently for us at the airport.Hamid, Mustapha's older brother, was our guide. HAMID IS THE BEST GUIDE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. He is an amazing human being who genuinely loves people. He is smart, thoughtful, and funny. He loves his country and brings along his enthusiasm and excitement as he shows his country to you. Even after our time with him finished, I found myself missing Hamid and his contagious big smile. With Hamid, we visited a berber family and had a glimpse of this family's humble living conditions. My wife and I really sensed his heart for these families (he came from those humble beginnings too). In response to our many questions, Hamid shared with us that in his interaction with the berber children, he notices giftedness within a few. Though education is not really a part of the lives of these families, Hamid tries to talk to the mothers about sending the gifted child to school and offers ways that he can help to make that happen. It was also so sweet of them to treat me and my wife to such a thoughtful surprise: they decorated the car in wedding day decorations.During the trip, I forgot my Armani sunglasses at one of the sights we visited. Even though our time was over with MW, even though Hamid must have been so occupied and busy with his own wedding (we were his last tour group before his own wedding), Hamid went out of his way to get my sunglasses back to me (see my attached photos for message history).Thank you so much MW! You guys really made our time in Morocco so wonderful.

  • I went on a 2-week tour around Morocco with my wife and one of her friends. We were very pleased to have Moha as our guide over that period, doing a big loop across Morocco, from Casablanca, to Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fez, into the desert and Merzouga region, then through the amazing gorges to Marrakech and Essaouira and back to Casablanca. Having travelled all the way from Australia, we were glad that we spent 2 weeks in Morocco (instead of our original plan of 1 week), as there are so much to see, explore and experience! Moha has been a great guide, very accommodating and helpful. I would say one of the main highlights of the trip was the time spent in the desert/ Merzouga region, where not only do we get to spent time in the Sahara desert for the very first time (which are our childhood dream!), but to visit the Berber families and kids living around the edges of Erg Chebbi. It was also very kind of Moha to invite us to have lunch at his place with his family, and shared his stories about his recent wedding! We are also very glad to have one of our very close friends travelled from Europe to join us on the last 4-5 days of our tour in Marrakech and Essaouira. Overall, it has been an amazing, eye-opening and enriching trip. We would highly recommend Marrackech Weekend to anyone planning to visit Morocco.

CHEFCHAOUEN-BLUE CITY

Located in the dramatic Rif mountains in the north of Morocco, Chefchaouen is known for its striking blue houses nestled against the rough green and brown of the mountain scenery. The city cascades down the mountainside, each new level revealing more unique buildings, colorful plants, and charming cafes. The old quarter of the town is heavily influenced by Islamic and Andalusian architecture, from the blue-painted walls and red-tiled roofs, to iconic keyhole-shaped doorways and tiled passages winding through the city. Despite its recent increasing popularity and tourist trade, Chefchaouen remains an ideal place to experience an unspoiled and unique Morocco.

Wow, stunning. I had always gotten the impression that Chefchaouen was just a side trip or day trip type place in Morocco but I have been hearing and seeing more and more things lately that make me think that it is a highlight spot to visit on its own, and is worth a day or two of relaxing.
